This April, the French IP Office (INPI) will be launching a new e-Soleau portal.
This new portal will see a number of changes to the Soleau envelope, including:
- a storage capacity of 2 GB instead of 300 MB for 100 files instead of 3
- e-Soleau envelopes can be extended to 20 years instead of 10
- the possibility of calculating the digital footprint of files instead of storing them at INPI, thereby eliminating the need to forward them and the storage limit
- the introduction of a tool for verifying the e-Soleau
- improved and advanced transfer options, particularly in the event of bankruptcy.
These are particularly interesting developments, which will make the Soleau envelope a little more modern, especially as it will no longer be possible to file paper Soleau envelopes from April 1, 2024.
