Report on the FICPI CET 8’s works
The International Federation of Intellectual Property attorneys – FICPI has several Study and Work Commissions (CET) on different topics. For a year now, Anne Lévy chairs CET 8 dealing with IP Asset management.
One of the projects of this Commission is to implement a tailored IP/litigation insurance facility to suit FICPI’s members, which could allow to cover client’s legal costs and awarded damages following the inadvertent infringement of patents, copyright, trade marks & designs of a third party, or client’s legal costs against the cost of enforcement of patents, copyright, trademarks & designs when infringed upon by a third party. This insurance would provide different cover from Professional Indemnity one.
